Research notes
His 1921 passport application states that he was naturalized at the Bexar County Court on 14 Sep 1906; the court's record has not been read. His death certificate names his mother 'Ellen Green'; his baptism and the 1861 and 1881 censuses support Emma Lucy, and the discrepancy is kept rather than corrected. The tree attaches a 1901 census entry from Yardley, but that household is a professional chemist with a different wife and children, so it is not used for him. His father's 1901 visit to Texas continued to another son in MacLeod, Canada, so he was not the only one of the family to leave England.
